Kate Middleton is really going for the full princess look for tonight's Diplomatic Corps Reception at Buckingham Palace. First, we saw the Duchess of Cambridge arriving in her favorite Lover's Knot Tiara, which displays precious diamonds and pearls.
Now, we also have photos from inside the private event, revealing Kate in a glittering ball gown, reminiscent of a modern-day Cinderella.

Kate was photographed speaking to guests, as a number of foreign diplomats and ambassadors have gathered at the Palace for the annual formal occasion.
She's a vision in the silvery-blue gown, made by British designer Jenny Packham, which features a draped neckline and sheer cap sleeves. Clusters of beads or sequins speckle the torso and the top of her shimmery skirt for maximum sparkle. The sequined belt at the waist ties it all together.

Kate also went for delicate accessories to match her glittery frock. She wore a diamond bracelet on her right arm and carried a jeweled box clutch. Her pear-shaped pearl earrings even matched her tiara.
Most importantly, she wore the Royal Family Order pinned to her dress. The yellow ribbon badge, featuring a small portrait of the Queen painted on glass and surrounded by diamonds, is bestowed by the sovereign as a reward for outstanding service to the crown.

Kate actually debuted her Order at last year's Diplomatic Reception, but since there were no photos from the private event, the public didn't see it until she wore it again for a state dinner in October.
That dinner, which honored the King and Queen of the Netherlands during their visit to London, was the last time we saw Kate at a formal royal engagement. She was also seen all glammed up while arriving to Prince Charles' birthday party in November, but that was a private family event.
We'll take every ball gown moment we can get.
