While you were keeping your eyes peeled for clues on who will win the Iron Throne, two actors made surprise appearances during the Game of Thrones premiere. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-creator and star Rob McElhenney and Silicon Valley’s Martin Starr showed up. It may have been hard to see them since they were quickly turned to corpses (meaning no repeat appearances, unfortunately). So where were they?

In the scene where Theon saves his sister Yara from their uncle (who’s too busy lusting over Cersei), McElhenney and Starr were two of Euron’s men, whom, before they can alert anyone, Theon quickly silences for good. McElhenney confirmed the cameo with the Instagram caption, “Don’t blink …”

It’s Always Sunny also has multiple Game of Thrones connections behind the scenes. Matt Shakman has directed multiple episodes of the comedy, as well as two Game of Thrones season-seven episodes, “The Spoils of War” and “Eastwatch.” Also, Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss wrote an episode for It’s Always Sunny back in 2013. The TV world is smaller than you think.
